On Friday, May 3, 2013 I went for my first run since having my back sorted out at the chiropractor.  The main thing that was bothering me is finally gone so I can finally make an effort to work out again.  Since it’s just about 8 weeks out from the NJ State Triathlon, I’m probably going to start my training plan over again since I had not worked out in 3 weeks until Friday’s short run.  It probably won’t line up completely perfect but I think I’ll be able to get my fitness back (and lose the little bit of weight I gained eating ice cream and candy in the meantime) and perform well in it.  The human body is an amazing thing and I know I’m persistent enough to get things back to normal. Today I have a short fitness swim planned.  It’s a nice day so hopefully there aren’t too many people at the pool.  Actually, to take advantage of that I might go for a short bike ride and a jog after the swim and make it a faux triathlon.
