Triathlon

Swim, Bike, Run, Repeat

In 2013 I participated in my first triathlon race season.  I have been riding a road bike since 2008 and after a failed attempt at taking on competitive road cycling, participated in three LIVESTRONG Challenge 70 mile bike events in the Philadelphia area from 2008-2010, raising over $2,000 for the LIVESTRONG Foundation.   I spent spare time weightlifting and running prior to taking an interest in Triathlon.  An unidentifiable injury set my running back until I found the cause were my shoes.  After replacing those in early 2013 I was able to get back on my feet without problem.  I successfully completed 5 races in 2013 and made podium in the last two.

At the end of 2013 I suffered a neck injury after a Chiropractor visit on Dec 23.  It has been hurting to turn my neck ever since.  I can’t wait to get back into the sport.  The 2014 season was so promising and my training was going very well up until then.  We shall see what happens.

Here are some 2013 Season Highlights.

Tri Bike of Jesse Thomas Stolen

Yesterday I learned via a friend on Google+ that pro triathlete Jesse Thomas had his bike stolen the other day.  The locale is San Francisco.  It is a Specialized Shiv with a one-of-a-kind paint job. Hoping it is found expediently and unharmed. Jesse's tweet:...
